So now that we have started planning out everything, Here are some other services that are in big demand that everyone is loving!
Video coverage can be expensive depending on what kind of video coverage you want. "There are different kinds of video coverage" you ask? Well yes. There are 2 main kinds of video coverage. Documentary style and Cinematic style video coverage. Documentary style is in short video coverage that showcases and captures 100% of your ceremony as well as key moments of your reception. This is typically captured by 1 person and they may set up different cameras for different angles. Cinematic style video coverage does the same thing, but with slightly different equipment, techniques and style. It is typically captured by a team or crew of 2-3 people and they will create moments to make a stunning video. With Documentary style your looking at a cost of $500-$1000 vs Cinematic style costs $2000-$4000. As well as depending on the team, since there is a staff for video, audio, and different "manned" cameras, can be intrusive since there is so many people around. Combined with a team of photographers, you might have a lot of people trying to capture the same moments and either they will get in each others way, or things will be missed or not captured.
Photo Booths are also big right now! And yes, there are also 2 different types of photo booths and each can be done. There is Traditional photo booth with a single background, this can be set up in two different ways, couple style or family style. Couple style is enclosed, Typically a 6ft by 6ft or 10ft by 10ft size and can fit a max of about 5 people. vs family style or "Open Air" photo booths are open, can go as large as 20ft across and can fit 15 people. Either are about the same price. Couple style is smaller, can fit less people, so you might have lines depending on how many guests you have. vs family style requires more space, but can photograph more people. The 2nd style is Green screen! Yes, thats right, how cool is that? Green screen is very cool, but there is two sides to the fence. With Green Screen, you can literally have any background your interested in, This is great for themed events where you can do a Halloween background, Christmas background, country style background, or they can take a picture at your event, and it be the background. Draw backs are of course you do need the space. as well as depending on the background chosen, it might be tricky to ensure proper lighting and position of the people to ensure everything looks right. Both Cost about the same, your typically looking at a cost of about $1000-$2000.
Candy Bars are awesome! No, im not taking about a Snickers, Butterfingers, or An Almond Joy! Im talking about a table filled with sweet treats. These are also called Candy Buffets. These are a hit because you can customize the candies to your wedding colors (or pretty close to it). Typically the Candy Bar is made up of about 10 Jars of 5 different types of Candy. (one type on each side of the table) You can have Salt Water Toffee, Jelly Beans, Gummi Bears, M&M's and Sour Strings. You can for sure add more candy, more styles, etc. There are two ways to do this. You can do it yourself, or hire a company to do it. Doing it yourself is for sure a lot cheaper, but adds more stress, as you will have to take time, energy and effort. Finding the right candy dishes and bowls, finding the candy you want, etc. Another draw back to doing it yourself is you may not have purchased enough candy and you will of course have the candy dishes left over after, so do you keep them, try and sell them to someone else, etc. Doing it yourself could cost you $250 in materials and your time is free, vs vendors could charge $500-$2500 depending on guest count, how big your table is, how many choices you want, etc. It may sound like a lot, but It is well worth it. Other options are Pop=corn bar, Smore Bars, Candy Apple Bar, Cupcake Bar, etc.
Bands: Your Fav. Band personalizes your event more then you know. A DJ is great, but having a live band adds a lot more excitement, entertainment, and fun to your. Now, keep in mind, a band will not replace a DJ/MC. It will only add to your event. Also keep in mind that Bands are not cheap. Local groups are bands will be cheaper then others, but you do get that local feel. People dont realize that they can actually bring in there Fav. groups. If you love Taylor Swift, you can actually contact her manager, reps, agents, etc and pay for her to come in and play at your wedding. Is it Cheap, nope, not by any means, but you can make it happy. Love Fallout Boy? or Maroon 5, or any other of those groups/bands/artists, you can do the same, contact them and you can make it happen. Bands can start out at $1000 for a local group, and be in upwards of $15,000 for your fav. artist to play 2-5 songs. Price will be determined by availability, and all of that.
As you can see, I only touched on just a few other options that can be at your event! For more info, your best options are to contact your venue coordinator or your wedding planner!
