One of the Saddest moments of my Wedding Career was when I got a call from one of my Brides letting me know that her wedding was called off. Here's what happen!
After talking with Stephanie for a little bit, both on the phone and via e-mails, I met Stephanie and Jason at a Starbucks in Corona, Ca. and we all hit it off! It was like hanging out with a member of your family. We talked about everything, yes, I mean everything. We talked about their wedding plans, movies, TV shows, etc. It was great! We all got along great, there was definitely a connection and they booked our services right away! During our talks, They wanted to do a Bridal Session, but for this session, their mind set was to get everyone dressed up as if it was the wedding day, go out to the venue, and Take all their wedding pictures a head of time. They wanted the freedom to take stunning images, fun images, exciting images and get everything they wanted, without time restrictions! They had booked and planned to have their wedding on April 17th, 2015 at Whispering Oaks Terrace and the Venue was awesome, said no worries, come on down!
About 3 weeks later, I got the call from Stephanie! And my heart dropped, and Stephanie told me the news that they had to cancel the wedding. See Jason was in the military and he got orders to transfer to a different base on the East Coast. and He was due to transfer by Nov. 1st. She was in tears! She had everything already planned out, she was so far ahead on planing she was having a blast. She told me she had the dress, the cake was ordered and paid for, she had already got the Garter, her bouquet ordered and paid for, They had even gotten their servers! She then told me she had to settle for a Courthouse wedding so that she could go with him.
So when Stephanie told me She had everything, My heart Sank! But then a light bulb went off, and I started to think! I know I know, Soooooo Dangerous when that happens, its scary! They had everything already, There is no way they could step up the date of the wedding, so I told Stephanie, Well, you have everything, and you wanted to do a Bridal session, so lets go do one! She was shocked, and excited, but none of the wedding party would be able to make it. I told her so what, it sucks, but whats key is they get the images they wanted for their wedding. So thats what we did! We set up a day and time, and we went out to a nice park Eisenhower Park In Orange, Ca. (Whispering Oaks Terrance had other functions going on that day), And we spend a few hours having fun, taking some pictures! Here are the fruits of our fun!
